My Story

My love of theatre started at a very young age. I distinctly remember forcing my somewhat mystified 9 year old classmates to watch my ‘feminist musical’ version of Thumberlina alongside an unsolicited performance as Jack’s mother from Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes. It was John Osborne’s Look Back in Anger that led to the lightning bulb moment whilst sat in an English lesson, aged 15, of realising that I desperately wanted to work in the arts.

Fast forward a couple of decades (or so), and I fulfilled this dream having worked across a wide range of art forms, roles, and remits for both the commercial and subsidised sectors in London and the U.K. Through my work I have sold hundreds of thousands of tickets, launched new venues, new productions and new visions, all of which have been achieved on time, on budget and with flair and fun.

My marketing consultancy work has attracted clients such as: Barbican, Battersea Arts Centre, Bristol Old Vic, Headlong, Hofesh Shechter Company, Kneehigh, Old Vic Theatre and Regents Park Open Air Theatre. I was formerly Head of Communications at the Royal Court Theatre in London under the artistic directorship of Dominic Cooke. With my team, we achieved a 90% average attendance across my five-year tenure. Plays launched during this period include the global phenomenon Jerusalem starring Academy Award Winner Mark Rylance, Posh by Laura Wade, Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris, random by Debbie Tucker Green, and many more.

Alongside this, I have spent the past decade fulfilling my other major passion - training in personal and professional development. I hold qualifications in Executive and Life Coaching and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This is the area I am now focussing my energies on, hence the creation of the Career Catapult programme, my workshops,.

I have a love of lifelong learning and to date have completed courses in leadership, genealogy, gardening, pottery, sewing, French, Spanish, hypnotherapy and reflexology.

I am also extremely proud to be a Trustee of the charity, Sister System, who offer a free year-long professional and personal development programme to young women affected by looked after care.
